This Notice

This Notice relates to the collection and use of personal information specifically in connection with the UBT Connect App, the UBT Connect Website, the UBT Community Photobook, Address Book and Directory, and other Connect branded services. It is specific to those products (collectively referred to as “the Connect Services”) and is supplementary to our general Privacy Notice, which can be found on our website, covering UBT’s other business activities. To the extent there is any inconsistency between the terms of this Notice and UBT’s general Privacy Notice, the terms of this Notice shall take precedence.

We ask that you read this privacy notice carefully as it contains important information on who we are, how and why we collect, store, use and share personal information in relation to the Connect Services, your rights in relation to your personal information and on how to contact us and supervisory authorities in the event you have a complaint.

The Connect Services

The Connect Services provide information about individual members of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (“PBCC”) and enable contact to be made between PBCC members worldwide. The Connect Services are only available to subscribers on payment of a subscription fee. All subscribers must be verified as PBCC members before they are provided with log-in details. The Connect Services will only connect to approved devices with the UBT installed Streamline3 software.

Use of the Connect Services is subject to the UBT Connect Terms and Conditions. These terms and conditions restrict access to and use of the Connect Services to PBCC members. All information uploaded to the Connect Services is checked first by UBT staff (employees and PBCC volunteers) to ensure that personal information aligns with PBCC member records.

The Connect Services are compiled by UBT staff and trained PBCC members. They only feature PBCC members and they are only sold to PBCC members. All information (including household photographs) is collected and published with the express and informed consent of a Family Representative and is refreshed and verified on average every 2-3 years. Each Family Representative is responsible for obtaining and maintaining the necessary authorisations from each family member to upload and share their personal information in the Connect Services in accordance with the terms of this privacy notice.

As such, the personal information published in the Connect Services is voluntarily received from PBCC members and is only directly available to PBCC members.

The Connect Services are owned and operated by UBT Marketing Pty Limited (Australian Company No. 162 091 796) as Trustee for UBT Marketing Trust (Australian Business No. 84 296 716 805) as a licensee of the UBT Trust (Australian Business No. 34 551 293 138) of The Precinct, Level 6, 10 Herb Elliott Avenue, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, Australia.
